Nicholas is an associate attorney at Buty & Curliano LLP. They graduated from McGeorge School of Law, where they were actively involved in both Mock Trial and Law Review, honing their advocacy and legal writing skills and completing a constitutional free speech program in Austria led by retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy.

Nicholas brings a background in criminal defense and employment litigation, with substantial courtroom experience handling misdemeanor matters in Santa Cruz County. They have represented clients on both the plaintiff and defense sides, providing a well-rounded and strategic perspective in litigation. Nicholas believes that legal training is a powerful tool to advance equality and ensure fair representation, particularly for individuals and communities that are not traditionally empowered.

Outside of the office, Nicholas is an avid animal lover and enjoys longboard dancing and performing in their band.
