Eszter Winkelmayer

As Senior Litigation Paralegal at Buty & Curliano, Eszter is not only a vital part of the litigation team across various practice areas, predominantly assisting the Toxic Tort practice team, but is also involved in the management, training, and mentorship of our firm’s esteemed paralegals and support staff. For 4 years with Buty & Curliano, Eszter has supported all facets of litigation to ensure the protection of our clients’ best interests. Their ongoing work ranges from review and analysis of pertinent case documents, including a wide variety of evidence obtained through the discovery process, to working with expert witnesses, to assisting with preparation for civil trials, depositions, and mediation.

Having received their Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Merritt College, Eszter takes great pride in being part of Oakland’s rich academic history. Eszter also holds a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice Studies from San Francisco State University and has published two academic articles in the University’s Annual Review of Criminal Justice Studies (Vol. 1 and Vol. 3).

Eszter is a self-taught ink illustrator who creates intricate, geometric, and sometimes architectural works. Some of Eszter’s original mandala works and mixed-media pieces have been showcased in a downtown Oakland gallery alongside the works of other notable local artists.
