Madeline L. Buty
Madeline L. Buty is a founding partner of Buty & Curliano. For over 20 years, Ms. Buty has handled all aspects of litigation throughout the State of California from inception through jury and bench trials. This includes toxic tort cases involving asbestos, talc, mold, multiple chemical exposures and underground storage contamination. As a litigator and trial attorney, Ms. Buty has significant experience defending personal injury and wrongful death cases. She is part of the national trial team of a large Fortune 500 company and she also serves as national counsel for several clients for whom she oversees the work of local counsel outside the State of California.
In addition to litigation and trial work, Ms. Buty has an active practice counseling and representing medical facilities on issues of patient health care and compliance with both state and federal health care requirements. This includes providing representation and conducting seminars throughout California on patient placement issues, as well as the legal process for conservatorships, guardianships and habeas corpus petitions.
Ms. Buty is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and recognized as a Super Lawyer in Northern California by Super Lawyers Magazine. She is a member of the Defense Research Institute and The Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada, as well as a fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America. Ms. Buty is a Board Member of the George Mark Children’s House.
